It’s been a while since we dropped in on Tiny Terror Racing. The spec series is off to a fine start, and may get a sponsor soon enough. Fndr is teaching and studying in the daytime, and tuning and racing on the weekends. Trouble is, you tend to lose track of some folks when you move, or just run into them at the track. Fndr has finished grading papers, and is about to call it a night when Lynn walks into his basement “office,” the place where he grades papers, does research, overhauls cars, and God knows what else.
Lynn: Hey babe.
Fndr: Hey, what’s up?
Lynn: Not a lot. Hey, what are we doing this week? You said something about running American Iron?
Fndr: Well, with the move, we missed the Anniversary Muscle, Inc. challenge, and things are kind of all over the place, but I’d like to, yeah.
Lynn: Well, I’ve done a little digging. There’s a race over at Road Atlanta, one at Sebring, and one at Daytona. Which one do you want to try?
Fndr (looking at the schedule): How about all of them?
Lynn: Really? How? I mean, we only have one spot on the trailer, and they’re not all even the same class.
Fndr: Yeah they are.
Lynn: Look again. They all run D Friday, all C Saturday, and all B on Sunday. You’ll have to take one car and all the spare parts you can put together.
Fndr: Hm. I hate it when you’re right. OK, let’s start figuring out the best way to do this.
Lynn (chuckling as she eyes her wedding band): OK. But next year, I’M picking the anniversary trip.
Fndr (counting his blessings): Yes, dear.
The Cars: Any but the Charger, Chevelle, or Corvettes.
The Tracks: Sebring, Sunset Peninsula, Road Atlanta
The Class: All three Muscle, Inc. specs, B, C, and D.
Rules: Pick one car (at a time). Run it on all three tracks. The catch is, you have to run one track in D, one track in C, and one track in B. You can run the 500-KR in C class at Sebring, but that means at Sunset, you have to build it up to B or strip it down to D. If you go to B at Sunset, you’re running Road Atlanta in D class. Good luck, and have fun!
