Sixes and Eights (and Four) - Closed
« on: September 16, 2008, 01:59:59 PM »
A grudge match, this.  Aye, many a fight been long fought over such mattars.  Which are ye best served by on yonder racetrack?  Matey, me, and me harties (that'd be you) are voyaging over the ragin' seas to the orient to put the theory to tha test!

Pack ye rum, were goin ta Egypt Japan! (seriously, Egypt?  This is why I shouldn't post challenges in Chemistry class...)

/Pirate

This is a challenge of rivalries.  German, or American?  BMW or Porsche?  Ford, or Chevy?  Six, or Eight?

We're going to Japan - Suzuka, to be exact - to put these rivalries to the test.  You've got a flyweight sportscar born from the man who made the people's car.  There's a luxury coupe that has become notorious for its use of aerodynamics in racing.  And a pair of muscle cars - one destined to conquer the race track with its revvy small block, the other meant to become the king of the roads.

Which is best?  Well that's what we're here to test.  Welcome to the current challenge:

Sixes and Eights

The Cars:
1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS
1971 BMW 3.0CSL
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
1968 Shelby Mustang GT500KR

The Track: Suzuka Circuit

The Restrictions:
B700 Max
Sports Tires (DOT)
No Drivetrain Swaps

Have fun!  :)

NEWLY HOMOLOGATED!
1969 Nissan Fairlady Z 432
1969 Nissan Fairlady Z 432R
1972 Lotus Elan Sprint
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455

Bimmer, don't be posting challenges in Chemistry!

I'm a teacher:   Wait until you get home like I do!

It's not fair.  ;D

So I'm guessing there will be some sort of paint poll involved this time around?

It might be time to bring the paint polls back - with Fit running it (or at least approving the running thereof)

 ;D

Basically, I love pictures of these old beasts  ;D ;D

Is it sport tyres minimum, or Sport tyres or nothing?
