I made two small changes to the Subaru 22B and picked up small gains on all three tracks. Set the aero at 105/130 and the F.D. to 3.95 left everything else alone. the time gains are small but made me happy none the less. Spiny your EVO6 setup you posted with my changes work very well on this 22B. Thanks for posting it.

          D.Back R  67.549
          M. Krait  103.381
          B.Mamba 108.952

                       279.882

I still hate those tracks!!!!!  But really like that 22B.  I think I could get faster on those tracks with more laps but I'm just sick and tired of them I'm starting to have nightmares about them....

After some good online racing I was actually able to decrease times on 2 of 3 tracks.  I'll consider these my final entries as I'm not sure how much free time I'll have soon to make many improvements.

I always knew I was faster in traffic than I was chasing my ghost.

Diamondback Reverse - 66.123
Malayan Krait - 98.364
Black Mamaba - 105.161

Im really pleased with the improvements on the Suby and I really liked this challenge, even though its AWD and on Test Tracks.
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

Grats on those runs Serial, you are definately on a high level of driver/car/track interaction than many of us.  My Forza time has been limited of late, so my screwws were definately looser than usual, but it was nice to get in some solid laps with you guys.  The 22b seemed to finally bring my times in line with where I think I should be, easily dropping my previous bests by full seconds.  I don't have those times with me here, but i'll post them up before the end of the week/challenge if I can.

Serial has got me online with GTA IV too, just goofin off with cars and guns is pretty fun!

Well here's the results, very happy with the times as this was the first time i've run on these tracks, I think the car would easily be a couple of seconds faster in the hands of someone that knows the tracks well...

Lancia Delta

Black Mamba - 106.968
Malayan Krait - 100.769
Diamond Back Rev - 67.399

Total - 275.136

I would like to thank all the participants for this challenge. Especially the newcomers, BBQPete, ORG63 and sk15kev. I found out alot about AWD tuning, and hope you did too.

Big shout out to Serial. Way to make us feel ordinary. :D Those are really fast times.

FDog, post up your updated times whenever. I'll finish the LB when you post them.

Its almost the first of the month.....you know what that means ;D

Didn't beat the 22B with my Delta despite a lot of effort:-

Malayan Krait - 98.26
Diamond Back Rev - 65.252

Total - 267.232

Sorry for the delay:

Blk Mam 104.999(104.xxx)
Mal Krt 96.999(96.9xx)
Dmbk Rev 64.543

Scooby 22b

The numbers were scratched down really quickly, and I can't read them too well, but the full seconds are correct.  This is another reason I like Free Run times,....plenty of time to write your numbers down.  :)

Wrap up

Drift: We spent a couple weeks out here at the test track. Did we learn anything?

Herb: Of course. We learned that it takes a fair amount of control to get around the test track quickly. That hitting the right line can take seconds off times. The Pugeot doesn't match well with this bunch of turbo terrors. And that most prefer and open front and fairly high rear diff settings.

Drift: I'm not giving up on working the decel side. I think there might be some hidden gold there. Well, maybe silver. It may not be faster, but it feels as fast at least. I don't think that I've spent enough time exploring that area. It really helps stabilize the car for longer runs.

Krista: We also learned that you like your meat practically raw. And that you are a decent grill cook. That sausage you grilled up was better than the burgers. And the homemade kraut,..... mmm.

Drift: That's medium rare not raw. Hot enough to get the juices flowing, but not enough to cook them out.  That's the best way for a steak. But back to topic. There was one thing that bothered me. The front tire wear was really high. It seemed we were really punishing them. I would like to mess with these cars further and try to spread some of the work load to the rears more.

Herb: I don't know if that can be done. We were pushing almost a 3/4 rear split and they were still overheating the fronts. It might be one if the down sides of AWD. A multi-pit strategy should be considered when using them in endurance races.

Drift: We are back in the shop waiting for the next challenge now that the LB is now finalized. Serial whooped us again and Synder snuck past us in the last few hours. But some new names showed up this time. It looks like this game might have some legs after all. I was surprised at how many showed up. Especially since I figured everyone would be running around jumping out of helicopters into pools and palying King Kong on top of skyscrapers.

Ah ... good times. Another challenge has come to a close. I wouldn't be surprised to these cars again. But it's time to get back to some Detroit iron. The cars we really love.

After some serious reworking (both of the car, and the wheel nut), I've managed to improve my times some.

Still in the 22B
DBack R: 68.864
M Krait:  Okay, still couldn't beat this: 102.732
BMamba: 108.084

This brings the total down a couple, to 279.680, making me a very happy TravBot

You missed my updated times! :'( I guess I didn't bold or anything, so whatever.  Also, it's not like they're particularly fast  ;D
