Spiny, that's about right.  I've actually sorted it out with transmission tuning of all things, finding a tune where I'm in low 2nd instead of high 1st, and dropped my diff settings a bit so I could take the line I could see in my head, much closer to what you described than what the braking line would indicate.  On that note, I'm prepared to eat my words about the Series 1, and happily, but can I get some ketchup?

I've been meaning to play with an S-Class TVR for quite a while now so I threw together a quick Sagaris build and hit the track. Best time so far is a 84.547 but I'm hoping to whittle that down to run 83s.

The build is grip orientated, widest Goodyear slicks, Forza rear bumper and wing, full platform and WR then engine mods to bring it up to S998. It ended up at 452hp 361lb-ft at 1,925lbs.

As for the tight left hander, I'm with Spiny, a late apex nets me the fastest time through there.

Placard, I have a couple, okay 3, versions of the Sagaris.  Non Aero, Full Aero Full Grip, and Full Aero Middleweight.  The Middleweight is the most stable to me.  I don't like the way the car unsettles with full weight reduction.  I added some of the weight back, added a smidge of power and it became quite the good little intermediate track star.  My Non aero still rules full courses and the Ring.

(Don't tell anyone but the Tuscan R is a brute and would probably do very well on this track, I have 3 of them too.)
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

Yay!  I finally have time to run my own challenge!

First up is the (gasp!) M3-GTR: 84.335

Alright, that was the one prebuilt/tuned car that I had.  There is an 83 in this build.  Probably in the tune, too.  I just have to drive it... easier said than done  :-\

Off to build a second car...

I'm planning to run the F430 and one of the Porsches.  Maybe more...

Hm, there are too many vipers in this came.  I had one slipped in at 998, then discovered it was the SRT 10.  Got an ACR built, but then the wife came in.  It's showing lots of hp, so it may make a better showing on this track.  I've been essentially running grip tunes on this high-speed track, so we'll see what happens.

Same here, Fndr.

This F430 likes to drives really well all around the track...

except Turn 1, where it likes to put the rear end into the outside wall.

I'm gonna try the Porsches...

Yeah, that first turn is a thing of beauty when you do it right.  When you do it wrong....well...

Agreed.  It has been a bit of an unwritten rule with me to use full aerokits on my cars - the throught of going out sans-aero in the 911s of all things make me very frightened of Turn 1, indeed.

I ran a stock tuned s998 C6 Z06 to a 1:25.675.  I tried the CCBS, and got a 1:24.589, if i can fix the oversteer issue then i can pull the thing much faster.

No missiles, running on Race Tires should limit this.  Plus, its no fun if i can't run the Ligenfelter anyways.  I'm thinking of running the Z06, CCBS, and someother car.

Well, I put ( a tweaked version of) my GT3 RS U-Class setup on the 997 GT3, and, after ten laps, finally managed to make a clean lap: 84.100  ;D

PS: Snyder, just fyi: it's the CC8S (as in See See Eight Ess), not CCBS  ;)

I figured my pre-run last night would be blown out of the water. I figured Serial (If he takes part) would be in the 81's by now. Scanning through the times shows I was mistaken.

Its the first in compartive times. Diablo vs. Diablo

Diablo GTR  83.641
Diablo SV   83.963

I thought that the SV would seriously trash the GTR. Not yet.

Comments: The GTR is a stable platform, good for this track. The SV is more suited to a tighter track in its last tune. Very loose. Truth is they are dead even. The SV's time was with .3 of penalty time. If I can get the rear to stay planted as well, it will pull away.

Stats: The GTR is heavy and powerful at nearly 3000 lbs and a whopping 715HP. The SV weighs in at a nicer 2500lbs and only 560HP.
However this is where the numbers will decieve you. The SV tops out on the front straight at 180+. The GTR is barely reaching 175 before turning in. The GTR is only keeping up because of a more stable rear. I'm having to watch the gas more with the SV. Any little juke or curb and it kicks out.

To fndr:

I know this track fairly well. The key to that turn is "patience". I normally turn in at low 60 MPH and roll through. You must fight the urge to get back to the gas early. And any playing with slight throttle will cause it to push to the "Penalty Zone". My best times have come with waiting until the car is sure to only run two tires off and mash it (well carefully mash it :-\).

Upon exit, your looking to keep the foot down and set up a full throttle run through the last curve of the esses. The others are meaningless. I can get it up to about 150-160 until reigning it back down to second for the double apex/chicane.
