Heck, Hek. That is my typical laptime in the A class Endurance Race. You're doing good without visual aids...

Still feel like I'm driving sloppy around this place, but I figured out a few more corners.  I feel like I could improve a bit with a little more tuning, but I'm going to hold off until I feel like I've got the track down.

New time:
Hekalite  Series 1  1:54.461

Thanks again for the challenge DD.  I'm pretty good at Silverstone National, but the other two...not so much.

Updated your time, Hek.

I built out a DOT version with supercharger since the real world car had a supercharger option. It is fun to drive. Unfortunately, even with full aero parts, it isn't as fast as the Slick version. I was disappointed. But my Vette has a supercharger so all is not lost!

Been working on the differential and tranny on mine. I bumped the final drive up because I felt I was getting stuck in between gears too often. But that made it worse. I think the diff was too closed.

Anyway, that 1:53.007 has been getting away from me all day...ARGHHHH.

Silent Flower, You can rebuild that thing with slicks. I have posted a build up in the cars board.

LOL I'm abbreviated as "Big MC"!!!  I feel like an 80's rapper!   ;D

I don't know the names of many corners overall, just the ones that give me trouble! :)  Silverstone starts with Copse, then Maggots, Becketts, and Chapel in rapid succession.

Chapel is the one that always pisses me off... it's the right-hander leading onto the straight.  If you mess it up, your lap is over right there.  I've never been able to run a late enough apex to clip the end of the left rumble strip.  I really need to follow a fast ghost through there sometime to learn that corner!
What I do BMC is brake and roll into Maggots, slight gas, tap brake and roll through Becketts and really slow down into Chapel to get a good run off. I'm only going llike 70-75 MPH throught Chapel. And trying to hit the gas as soon as possible to get the big run out.

With DF my speeds through those turns are 100-110, 80-90, 70-75. The high ends are with newer supercars and the low end are with the bike tired cars.

The brake points are variable depending on the speeds of the car and the turn in. But I'm usually using the apex cone just before as my brake marker. I think i have a pretty good line in. I'm normally putting 50-100 feet on the AI through there. You can come in with higher speeds by coasting in and then hitting the gas once its straightened halfway out.

Silent Flow, did I read that right?  1:55:218 was in the Series 1 correct?  I added that time to the scoreboard and restored your time in the GS.  If for some reason I screwed up your times, let me know and I'll fix em.

Drift, that sounds pretty much how I drove it as well, although I generally find a good handling car can will take the 3rd corner of Becketts (the section is actually Maggotts (quick left kink), Becketts Complex (the right/left/right sequence in the middle then Chapel is the left kink onto the Hangar Straight) a little quicker. The last couple of weeks though I've tried only braking between Maggotts and Becketts then just leaving brakes and throttle alone (or at most only just touching one or the other if you feel your entry speed to one of the corners is inappropriate) until I exit the 3rd turn (the sharpes right hander). I don't know if it's faster overall but because it seems to help me get a rhythm going through there I can get most cars I've tried to go through with an apex speed of about 78-80 (I think the last one I tried this with is the Tom's Soarer). I don't know if this will work for everyone but it might be worth a try. I get the impression that everyone is finding that this corner is key to the Hangar Straight and that certainly ties in with my experiences.

Those look good times there. I'm sitting this one out because I only have one of the 3 unlocked. made me realise I need to spend more time progressing through career (currently on a massive 52%)   :'(

I've been playing around with different builds of the Series 1 and have managed to get a time down of 1:54.013. I think I can go faster than this with a more consistent lap.

I've managed to get an A850 build with specs of 6.1/5.4/5.6/5.5 with 400hp & 323tq.

I'll run a few more laps tomorrow.

I've got me a penalty rittled 118.773 in the Navy Grand Sprot...  :'(

Willis is off to the Snap On distribution center he says "to pick up a socket and breaker bar big enough to work on the Nut behind the wheel..."  I wonder what he means by that.

(I think my life is not going to be a happy as it once was.)

I 'spect I will go race the car in career races to pay for the parts, level it up, and maybe get used to it.  I seem to always be late with my turn in, making my wide on exit.

Uh oh - here comes Willis  :o

Hey!!  Stay away from me with that thing you goofy old fart...  Hey!!  Ouch... Dammit... Knock it off!

Hm, I'll try using the apex cones for braking.  Thanks for the tip!

I'm in a pickle with my Corvette.  It's feeling really good right now, so I'm not sure what I could do to it to make it much faster.  Maybe loosen it up a bit... hmmm...
Don't make me go get my Bentley Hummer!
