Boy, aren't you going to be embarassed...

All you do is convert minutes to seconds.

Tried one more....69 Charger.  This was similar to the other builds, but I put a rear wing on it.  I went ahead and ran the same toon for all the tracks, with plenty of downforce.  I may have lost a little on Copperhead, but I more than made up for it in Russel's Viper.

Copperhead 118.468
Boomslang 111.054
Russel's 93.878.

If we're allowed to run different toons, I suspect there's some time to be gained on copperhead.  I'm not sure how much of this improvement is the tightening of the nut behind the wheel, though.

Objects in rear view mirror are losing.

Let's just say running different tunes would not be in the spirit of the challenge.

Think NooB kid, takin' Dad's old Chic magnet out to pedestrian day at the track.  Consider that getting ready to race means taking the cooler out of the backseat and the tools out of the trunk.

Fndr (and all),

Per the rules I think you are required to put the rear spoiler on if it's available on your car:

"With the exception of the Chevelle, each car must have the Spoiler attached.  Whether or not to use the front diffuser on the Barracuda is left to the builder."

It sounded like you might not have put it on the Mustang?

I've only messed a bit with the Challenger so far.  Tried once with max power and then once with max weight reduction (actually one under max to stay in D.)  Weight reduction won out.

Okay, perhaps I should get some clarification...

Are you talking about different setups...  or different configurations?

Think Local tracks (per back story)  Your lookin at 20-30 minutes between rounds to add gas, check tire pressures and get back on the grid.  Not much time to go and swap parts before the flag flies.
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

So in 20 minutes I could easily change my tire pressure and adjust my downforce.   Not sure on other tuning tweaks.  But forget about swapping out parts.  Plus if this is on the cheap who would be able to afford parts to swap out anyway?

Seems a little "squishy" to me on the toon side.  To meet the spirit of the challenge as I understand it the easiest way to go would be to simply say:  One build, one toon, period.

Of course I'll go by whatever rules you guys decide.

Simple is good.  So as TJN says, one build, one tune.

Men, I wasn't making a protest. It just so happens that I have two different tunes and was working on the third when I read that.

I think if Blooze says one tune it should be one tune...that's the challenge and I think everybody can respect that. Blooze and Fit have thought this out so run it the way they planned it.

There may be room for a discussion of the benefits of the one tune rule elsewhere but not here. When I said it knocked me out I mean my times are invalid and I have to start again...

I think Blooze and Fit are on the same page. Blooze was just trying to lend me a helping hand, I think. We have the clarification we need.
