A class "pro" muscle?

For me, The Muscle Inc spec have left a little to be desired as far as options go... there always seems to be a compromise going on. So, I decided to build them out for A - with slicks and full weight reduction. I have to say I was surprised at my first effort, the Z28 did a pretty decent 1.27:5xx around Seca with just rudimentary tuning, only marginally behind my full DF Monaro. Considering that the Z28 was never the fastest M-Inc car in my garage I'll dare to say it's promising. Maybe the Cuda can finally shine as well, with room to mold that powerplant a bit more.

I have to admit I felt even more at ease with this spec, running the cars at their highest potential.

unrestricted muscle is a lot of fun in A-Class. You've got everything from grippy Z28s to 'mountain-motor' outlaws. It's definitely easier to turn good hotlaps without the restrictions too.

But that's true in B-Class as well.

I don't think that the Muscle Inc. B-Classics are going to really climb any of the scoreboards and I don't believe that it's what their intent is. The restrictions simply make it possible to run them all with some measure of parity (except for a couple... ::))

I'm actually curious as to your upgrade path for that Z28, your time is faster than my best 911T! Nice work!

The upgrade path is straightforward enough: Maximize grip and top end, minimize torque... which translates to max tires and weight, and race cams. I'm even considering using a CF blower for steadier exits, but this build can definitely do low 87's or even 86's. It can also be driven quite aggressively for a muscle car. The Cuda set similar times with a same-ish build, but it would benefit greatly from wider rear tires.

Sport exhaust, Race ignition, Race cams, Race block, Goodyear 17" slicks @ max width.

I'm a bit stumped about the diff... lower accel means I can get on earlier, higher means more traction around 75% through the corner. 20 seemed the best compromise so far.
