Well, the car looks like an '80's M3 to me, but as you're the BMW expert I'll leave the final decision up to you.

As for the other cars, it seems likely that the rally car will be the Audi Quattro, the "most requested muscle car" suggests Trans-Am if they got the licensing sorted out (Firebird if not?) but I don't know about the rest.

I really wanted the track to be Alpine Ring, but that just doesn't look like it to me. All the talk seems to be of Road America over at .net, but my mind is thinking Tokyo, mainly because there is that red paint which the track had on the start/finish straight. I really hope I'm wrong because that track was a crash-fest at the best of times :(

The car looks to be either an E30 M3 or an E34 M5 - probably the M3.

As for track... I'd love to see Alpine Ring or Blue Mountains return, but this looks like it will probably be Road America.

You can expect to see a JEi project with the new BMW(s?) once they come out.  Hell, I'll probably start planning once they reveal the video!

the picture is VERY obviously a e30 M3, not hard to tell really :p

i'm quite excited about a e30, i've been hoping for one a whole lot, and a M1... but that's not likley to happen unfortunatly :/

a foxbody mustang would be awesome as the muscle :p

It isn't veryobviously an M3 - it could be an E34.  99% chance it is an E30 though.  He said "For instance, the cover image for this week's Pitpass is a top-down photo of one of my favorite Bimmers in the new pack."

"Bimmers in the new pack" - a couple of things to note about this:

1) He said "bimmers" not "beemers" or "beamers"  :)
2) He said "bimmers".  With an "s".  Maybe more than 1 BMW in the pack?  (If there is a second, I would guess E92 M3... but maybe an M5?)

Did someone say Fox Body?   ???

I doubt it.

Looks to me like a E30. Hopefully, the new M3 is coming with it. Specs say its going to be a rocket.

I would bet on the Firebird. But I hope a Boss 302 is in there too.

As far as the track, it kind of looks like the horrible wrecker strips off of Road America. Anybody run into the same situation in the carosel?

I would go with the Trans Am and Road America.  That is the RL track, and I think they would like to eventually get there with the game - nothing but RL tracks and the Snakes.

He said most requested Muscle Car - I doubt Fox Body anything was "most requested".   Where as the 455 HO Trans Am was fairly well known, and I know a bunch of people have been belly aching about Pontiacs presence in the game.

I just read that one of his favourite BMW's was in the pack, not that there would be BMWs (plural) in there. Could be wrong though. If I remember rightly there were some comments in the run up to the game's launch that a certain German manufacturer was being very picky with their models. And I also think that there were some initial pictures released of BMWs which didn't make it into the game. Put 2 & 2 together and bimmer may be in heaven :D

Hell yeah!  There was the M6 in the first trailer, they had a dyno on an original 6... add that to this M3/M5 (I'm sure it isn't an M6), and I am in heaven  ;D

Don't doubt the Fox Body. It single handedly built the SB Ford market. Before it, your digging through the junkyards or saving up for the Edelbrocks. Now there are no less than 50 different heads out for it.

They are the '69 Camaro/tri-five of the Late Model market. 15-20 years later, I still would rather have a Fox than the new supersized Mustangs. And certainly more than the SN95. They may look better, but they are too heavy. And don't handle worth a squirt.

I'll take a lightweight Fox over 95% of the current car market. At least I can make it into what my intended purpose for it is. And rather cheaply at that.

I didn't know we were put out our druthers but speculating on what was actually going to come in the game.

All I have ever wanted is to drive some form of my Fourth-Gen in the game.

I'd faint if I got to have a Firebird, or Trans Am, or any form of the two in this game.  You should've seen me when I found a third-gen in PGR4.  I'd love even more, to have Poncho-powered engine swaps available.

Here's some good intel I just lifted from the GenDis forum over at .net. Looks like Road America is indeed on this weeks menu and NurburgringF1 circuit will be the next track to follow. This is apparently a screen shot of a Devkit from someone on the PartnerNet.....
