After 2 hours of trying I finally finished that god for saken series.  Nurburgring wasn't the worst as I had suspected but Silverstone was very, very , very painful.  I still hate that track.  Suzuka was a challenge at first but when I figured out the esses I pulled away pretty well.  The haipin was a chore but not impossible.  Laguna was a ray of sunshine.  I had a huge lead there, huge.  The car was actually controllable, predictable, I was able to get on the gas early, the braking zones were uneventful and dare I say it I was having fun.

I will not be doing that again.  My times are my times and they will stand forever in the books as crap but finished none the less.

My generalization form this "event" is that the GT40 is not a good S-class car in stock trim.  I recomend never trying it, unless you really want a challenge that no assists, hard AI, and a slew of horrible tracks can't provide.
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

Ah, Blue Mountain.  I still hold out hopes that we will see that again.  It has a Reverse so it would fit their scheme for Original Tracks.  I liked running both versions of it.

The only way I had any success on the Legends race that I ran (I opted for a hired driver for the rest) was to turn the AI to Stupid and then do like has been said... one thing at a time.  After a bit I could get away with little throttle blips while coasting around a turn, but other than that it watch word was easy, easy, easy.  Any sudden or quick response to anything would put me in the dirt.

I will offer up a little test for you.  Get in the 330 P4, with just the tires tuned, and then go get in any other race you can find.  It would be especially helpful if you could find one of the tracks that is in the Legends series.

Let me know what you find... ;)
