Spanky's Speedshop paint booth disasters.
« on: September 11, 2007, 08:48:25 PM »
Heres a few of the cars you guys may or may not have seen that I have cranked out over the past few months.  Only the muscles though lots more modern cars and some one-offs too.  All for sale in one form or another.

I know the last ones pretty plain but its the rocket ship of the bunch.  More to come I'm sure.

I agree, the Stardust is great.

But then, I am sort of proud of the GTO as well... ;)

Here's a few of my more modern cars.  I made some of them used some spam from the AH on others and the Faye Valentine Car is a collaboration with another "artist"  Enjoy, make fun, whatever.

Spam Car, what else can you do with all the AH crap, find lemons make lemonade.

Another car with a spammed anime chick and my background on it.  I do those as stress relief.

Car modded and tuned to race JBCarey the creator of Below Average Reflexes (BAR).  I won 16 laps at Mugello Long A-class.

Nice, Fit.

I'm not much of a fan of the anime stuff. But they're OK as long as they keep their clothes on, I guess. LOL

One of my friends from BAR isn't playing Forza anymore and he liquidated his garage yesterday.  He gave me back one of the few Stardust Camaro's that I made and tuned for him.  Its a Muscle Inc car and he loved it.  I actually made it faster than mine was at the time, lucky him.  Very middle of the road tune but now I have two.  If anyone wants it I gifted it to him for free and unlocked so I'll give it to someone if they so desire.  Or I could donate it to the MI prize fund which could be an alternative.

He also gave me another virgin Charger and an A-class GTO, whoo hoo.

Blooze, I think I've tried several times to be your friend but somehow I always end up getting the wrong person.  What is your gamertag?????

Same friend that returned Stardust gifted me another 9 cars last night.  I'm starting to have quite the garage but I'm still lacking a few key Muscle cars.  With all my new virgin sheetmetal I'll have to create some new pieces for the upcoming challenges.

Assuming Spanky will let me have free reign in the spraybooth, that is.  I have one looming project to finish and then its back to race liveries for a while.

Ah... its Blooze46.

The person who has Blooze is a dickhead that got mad at me way back in the Sega GT days on the XBox forums.  So he grabbed it up just to sit on it.

Blooze, FR sent.

I finished this car the other night and its gonna be donated to the Big Guns 2 giveaway over on the main site (eewww).  I know its not the kind of car that gets this crowds blood flowing but if you ever find yourself face to face with a Diclonyous, expect blood to flow.  One of the things that is an attracter to the giveaway other than the design is that it is going to have a Muscle Inc tune.  Granted its more of an ALS car its going ot be an all around car not a drag, drift, or specialized one track only beast.

(Side Note)  As if the sales of this car weren't a demoralizer the fact that it was sold at all makes it ineligable for the Big Guns giveaway.  Yet another community building exercise by one of the remaining forum regulars that ends up alienating good people.  GGGRRRRRRR.

I looked through the link that Hoplee posted and I have a lot of work to do  ;D.  What a place for old school paint schemes.  I made the one for my Shelby 500KR loosely based on one of the cars I saw there.  At least the color scheme if not the actual design.  All I have to do is get rid of my obsession to have my number on the side of every car.  I didn't put it on the hood of this car and I felt weird not having it there.  Also not sold on the Shelby Sticker on the rear quarter.  Any opinion on that would be helpfull.  I can't decide if I should scrap it or not.

No custom logo's on this one as the source pic was at a strange angle so I just winged it.

My opinion:  The colour scheme and the way it is used are excellent, and warrant further effort to bail out any issues you have with the rest of the car.

IMO, keep using yellow to border the purply stuff. On the hood, the purply field has no border with the base color, throwing your scheme off. And I'd make the Shelby snake a lil smaller...

The Funny Car I was looking at had the yellow on the top in the center and I was unclear as to if it carried over to the outer edges or not.  i really like that site however the over abundance of Red/White/Blue cars is a bit silly.  I know their American cars but can we use some different colors for cryin out loud.  I do like the hit or miss ones that really catch my eye, I have a few saved in my CPU in case I get bored.

As far as the Shelby sticke the entire back of the car was covered in tire smoke so I filled in the blanks.
