I suppose it has something to do with the Porsche 956 (and later 962) being the dominant car at Le Mans when i was young, that shape with the single "bubble" and long tail just seems right to me. That "flattened" rear wing seems right to me too - it looks to me like an itegral part of the car, whereas the more modern wings just feel to me like they've been thrown on the car as an afterthought. As you say, it's all a case of what fits your mental image.

I'm with you there, Spiny.  A gorgeous design, even if the science is not up to modern standards.  My first drive of this car in FM2 was one of those highlights, like the first clean lap of the 'Ring (not necessarily achieved in the 962  ;))

I still get a thrill selecting that car.

Yeah!!! I finally have completed all of the tracks in every class, putting me at a nice 66th position.  R4 is a very weak class for me, and some of my RT and OT need work in other classes, but it's nice to have everything done for now.

...by far completing all the hotlapping is the biggest Forza "chore"......I know I was happy when it was done.

I suppose that's part of the reason for subsuming it into the "Random car" idea and also why I run it in conjunction with the Exhibition races. Another thing I do for a car which completes the class is to get it up to Level 5 AND make enough money to pay off the car and parts.

While I like the challenge of hotlapping,I don't think I could stick with it if I did it solidly. Maybe that's why I'm so far from completing it ::)

i think the first and the last class you do are the hardest, as the first seems to take forever (especially D, as those cars are the slowest).  And by the last class your anxious to finish.  Actually i believe that Career may be a much bigger chore, though i don't spend nearly as much time with the races as with hot lapping.

All my times for Career are made in the first time, though sometimes i'll rerun a race cuz i messed up.

Attack warning!

Blooze has quite an assault going on R1. Records are falling all over the place. Looks like he's found a car he likes.

LOL - yepper's, me an the old Speed 8 are chipping away at it.

I would like to take a pass with the Audi #5 R8 as well as the R10, but I am starting to want to be done with R1 for a while.  I think I will just finish up with the Speed 8 and maybe come back for the other two...

Oh, and the Peugeot 905c looks like it may have some potential as well.

Yeah we got one of those air raids sirens to warn us when Blooze is hotlapping.  and a bunch of guys monitoring him so we know when he's on the move.

I noticed i got bumped down to 67th (already! haven' even gotten through a week).  While running Exhibition i squeezed back in 66th, so i reran a bunch of D-Class RT and OT and caught 65th also.  I'm now trying to close the huge gap to 64th.  Just finished rerunning A-Class (save the 'Ring) and i'm still almost a minute behind, argh.

Well, I just finished my (very) rough run through of A-class  :).  I'm at 739 right now, with a time of 1h 19:38

I know that there are minutes to be cut off, but I don't think I'm going to be able to invest the needed time to complete my hotlapping until summer break...  :-\
It is highly likely that the above post was produced with a drippy jowl.

Well, I've got through R4 with that Audi, and still feel like it's a bit unfair using the most leaderboardy of the leaderboard cars. But, there's no denying it's effectiveness - I'm afraid I've got you in another class Blooze :) ( If anybody wonders, the time ended up as 1h, 8min, 43s.) I think that makes it 3 down, 7 to go... But, as punishment, that damn random number generator has sent me back to D Class (again!) - looks like your other times are safe for a bit longer yet.
