I'm on it boss.  Got a little photo mode duty to complete and then I'm going to build me one of those cars.  Scoreboard will be up in the first post as usual (soon as we get some).

You should go into your profile and make a custom title like Statician or something. That's how I got my GT in there.

Whoo hoo! I got two NSXes sitting in A class, just need to take away power..... Dang it.

And on Tsukuba too. Probably my best hot lap track.

Drift's Hot lap record at Tsukuba. 4 challenges. 1 win and 3 seconds.

Blooze you really know how to twist the knife man. Light cars on a twisty track. My favorite.

Go crush some leaderboard times. Have fun everyone!

No need. It showed up at the service facility. So now its waiting in line. Hopefully back in a week or two.

Nobody said I couldn't run it after its shut for braggin' rights anyway.

I called tech help. They said its getting a fan and new disk drive. So hopefully it will be more silent than before it left. With as many problems as MS has had to fix so far, they should fly through it.

It better be right this time.

I took a short little stint...

no time to report yet, but this looks fun.

BTW, mine is another '97, and it's around 2700lbs.  Hardly the featherweight I was expecting.
It is highly likely that the above post was produced with a drippy jowl.

I will be running two versions:

Do Luck Honda and 05 Acura

My initial times for benchmark are:

Do Luck  59.035
Acura     58.923

The Snorkel version is locked due to region...man I hate that feature.

Both versions I have are B700/DOT. Plenty of room to play with on upgrades, I think. Currently, I have BFGs on both cars.

Now, who has that darned Asian Region unlocked?

Edit: I was lucky and got one off the AH for 46K...but it won't take DOT tires...darn. Glad I didn't switch regions for this...LOL

Well, it looks like I'm going to be running an '05 Acura.  In stock (B592) form it put down a 1:01.332, so it looks promising.  Time to go moddin'.

Snorkel car with Y rated tires (stock) was a half second slower, in spite of lighter weight and 290 hp.

I won't be building it out just yet.

I hear you OS, that damned region lock is hitting us hard on this one. Sorry I couldn't get the RX 7 Spirit to you.

Off to find optimum camber... ???

Well, I went on and brought the car up to B700, 1st stage weight reduction, Race platform with sport transmission, DOT-spec BFGoodrich rubber, and the Race engine block with various visual mods, all sitting on BBS CH rims.  I managed a 59.xxx but it was in a test & tune session so I can't recall the specifics.

I just put a 59.540 down.  I guess that's all for tonight.

Thanks anyways for the Mazdas Dirt.  I'm gonna have to go on an auction spree sooner or later to pick up some of the locked out cars.  (This region lock is killing me DD!)

Happy hotlapping!

I have BucksToon running in the Asian region.  Soon as I get him up to Level 30 I should be able to get most of those locked cars.  The 22b and the Snorkle are the only ones I'm interested in... and maybe that EVO.

The '97 Acura just knocked my VIS Integra out of top QR for B class.  Once again a piss poor driver is making a pretty damned good car appear to suck.

I have the car configured with slicks, Fiske rims, all Forza DF parts, power to 298, and all handling to race except no WR.

The car is set up with a 52% Wb and a 4:11 FD

I have it to 59.242 now.

The way I see it the biggest question is do you want to win this thing in the curves or on the front and back straight. Difference is DOT tires vs. Y rated. And then it comes down to aero or no aero. Can a beefed up but heavy aero car with Y rated sneakers win this thing?

Conventional wisdom says it's the sticky lightweight regardless of HP. I'm not so sure.
