That would be cool paint project, Hoplee! I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

Put together a S998 Diablo SV a couple of nights agao and I've been impressed with the results even though I've tuned it very little.

Can I make a request? If you get the time, is there any chance some of you can (Bimmer/Hoplee/Whoeverelse) run your S class cars through the Pro Series/S Class World Trophy in career mode.

It'll just be nice to have something to compare my cars to  :)
GTs: MJR Rampage / MJR Osmosis

If there's a way to do it better... find it.

We've been using Sebring Short as a test track. Run a hotlap and post a time if you're interested in comparison. My Diablo GTR ran a 69.xxx with default tuning. My fastest default tuning RWD car thus far has been the K'egg with a 68.8xx

I don't dabble much in the world of S class but I see it in my future as I tip toe through the Career and S/U class leaderboards.

This is just curiosity, not meant as any form of censorship so please don't take it as such... :)

  • Why the Enzo over the 330 P4?
and why not the
  • Viper Comp Coupe?
  • Hennessy Viper
  • Guldstrand Vette
  • Lingentfelter Vette

Like I said, just a curiosity on my part.

JMHO

The Ferrari question is up to the intentions of the project.  I prefer the P4.

The Comp Coupe is nice but I like the lesser Vipers as a matter of preference.  The Henny is a U-only as far as my experience, way to powerful to stay in S based on limited tire choices.

Ah, the Vettes.  The Ligenfelter is in the same boat as the Henny, too powerful for the tires and even just enough tire to hit S998 its a handful.  The Guildstrand is a solid car but its heavy for a vette.  I haven't been able to look beyond its heft so it remains stock in my garage.  There seems to be some stigma surrounding it more-so than the allure to the Z06's so I believe they don't get a fair shake.  (The Guildstrand was one of the cars that is right up Spanky's alley, an American Oddball.)

My short list is not representative of the final list. Ownership of the final list belongs to bimmer, period.

Several popular cars were excluded because I am considering requiring racing slicks. Bimmer can require whatever he wants, I'm just providing suggestions and such.

My short list also excludes the older cars and tuner versions of popular cars. I wanted a group of cars that were produced by their respective manufacturers to make a statement. These 'supercars' are the fastest, finest, most advanced etc. examples that these manufacturers have ever produced. In some cases these 'supercars' are slower in game than their run-of-the-mill counterparts. For example, the Carrera GT is not the fastest Porsche in S-Class, but it is Porsche's 'supercar'. The Viper Comp Coupe IS on my short list but is not the fastest Viper in S-Class either.

I should also mention that I intentionally avoided AWD and FWD cars in the interest of parity.

It is almost time

Ok.  My week is, for the most part, done with.  I'd like to start doing something with this soon.

Hop, PMs.

Since I dusted off the Sagaris the other day  i may have to go and run it in comparo on Sebring.  I was very happy with it on Maple Valley even though I couldn't catch that darn Saleen S7  >:(

I'm only pickin 2 for this one.  The TVR and a Carrera GT that I have had sitting dormant for far too long.

One last little thing: RWD required.  I don't think it will be an issue with the car list, but I'm putting it out there anyway.
