[FM2] JEi Project RSR
« on: October 21, 2007, 06:17:43 PM »
Hello all.

I'm going to be sidelining Project Bulldog for a little bit, and the new project on stage is (drum roll please)... Project RSR.

As in Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.

No, I'm not tuning a R-Class car.  I'm going to take the (kinda) recently released DLC 911 GT3 RS and prepare and tune it for S-Class competition.

I'm choosing the GT3 RS over the "standard" GT3 because of one feature: The RS has an adjustable rear wing.  This will allow me to run front and rear downforce, bringing it closer to a true GT-Class racecar.

I will post the first build shortly.

I built this and ran a few laps on Suzuka, coming away with three thoughts.
1: Loads and loads of understeer.
2. Extremely long gear ratios (4th- 175mph)
3. I LOVE FIKSE!  ;D
GT: AMG BlackBird

You read my mind.  I only got 2 laps in with the car, but that's my feeling, too.

The car is gonna have a lot more tuning done to it (hence v0.5, lol)

We took delivey of our last RS the other day at work.  It was a boring one too.  White with black labels.  By far the best looking one's have to be the Black/Orange, Orange/Black color combo.

This is one of the few cars that are on my list.  I'll get around to it.
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

Wierdly enough, I bought mine (in game) in Orange with black trim, and painted it to be white with black trim.

Freaky

Your partial to white race cars anyway so its on par for you to do that.  Mine however is green with black trim.  Just like my 73 RS, its a cute matched set.
