My absolute favorite is Daredevil. I used to have so many issues of Daredevil as a kid that I'd kill to have them all back again. Luckily they bundle back issues into graphic novels and I can read back issues that way cheaper than seeking out originals. So far his regenesis has been great!
My Marvel picks would have to be:
Daredevil
Uncanny X-Men
Secret Avengers
I've also been sucked into the New 52. Not all of them just these:
Batman
Batgirl
Nightwing
Birds of Prey
Suicide Squad
Penguin: Pride and Predjudice
Supergirl
Voodoo
I, Vampire
Some of them are downright amazing and I can't wait for the next issue to come out and continue the story line.
I also pick up the smaller publishers and there have been great 4-5 issue stories that are really good, even a few tie-ins to upcoming games. I've recently enjoyed:
Finder by Carla Speed McNeil (Out of the ordinary and very very worth reading, several collections)
Spontaneous. 5 issues, done in watercolor, very good story.
Echo by Terry Moore. If you missed it, you missed it. Get the whole TPB and clear a weekend.
Rachel Rising by Terry Moore. Ongoing and so far is setting up to be really good.
Severed. 7 issue horror story with enough twists and turns to keep your stomach in knots.
Mass Effect. 3 seperate tie in series that are great for backstory on Aria, Illusive Man, and Cerberus.
Fatale. New and even with just two issues out is a good throw back horror/mystery.
Jennifer Blood. If you get passed the racy covers the story is really good, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Lady Mechanika. For the steampunk fan in all of us. Excellent art but it comes out every 3 months.
Executive Assistant. If you like kick ass women and interconnected books get these. I liked them all. Iris, Orchid, Violet, Rose, yup they are all named after flowers.
Dollhouse. A continuation of the Joss Whedon TV series that was short lived. Zombies meets Outbreak with a bit of a sci-fi escort service thrown in. Sound strange? Just look at who wrote it. Good though.
There are also a couple decent Star Wars series from Dark Horse that are good. I picked up Knights Errant, which was okay, and Dawn of the Jedi so I could see where they came from.
Whew, I guess I have more than I though. Since they all come out on staggered weeks I never thought of the stack as that big before. At least the short series stop and start instead of having a huge list of ongoing stories to keep up on. Luckily I get a decent discount and get out fairly cheap with a couple odd issues thrown in for the kids to read as well.
