be a few hours yet before I can download, Tonka. Have a class to teach and an hour commute back to the house. But that's my first order of business when I get home!

Thanks for your generosity!

I haven't had a chance to look over the "Sink" yet, but I just wanted to say your introduction is about as good as I've ever seen for explaining what the Tonka Toy is about.  Clear and Concise!  I usually manage to muddy the hell out of things when I explain it.

May I borrow from it when needed - with credit, of course.

The fact you guys started calling it the Tonka Toy is credit enough. By the way if anyone notices any errors in the spreadsheet feel free to point them out, I'm sure there are some in there. I'm not even sure I have all the cars. I think there's a Mugen of some sort missing right now.

In one of my an old versions I said I didn't really care one way or another if anyone used the spreadsheets I put together. They are what I use personally and if someone else finds it useful, more power to them. I just don't want to get sucked into doing support for it so I haven't pimped it around. I don't mind questions here, I just don't want to deal with daught net. What's weird is if you google or bing "Forza Kitchen Sink" their are numerous people that have rehosted versions of my old Forza 2 spreadsheets.

What's there now was my spreadsheet as of yesterday with my personal garage and car settings scrubbed before uploading. Some of the things I haven't gotten around to adding yet are the lap time tracking sheets I had in the older versions.  That may be awhile, depending on if I get around to attacking the leaderboards.  I'm also still tinkering with a different transmission calculator I will probably throw in at some point. One thing I was messing around with this morning was coming up with some stats for the garage.

Never has there been a more apt description for a spreadsheet!

Thanks for putting the effort in so we don't have to. It's truly appreciated.

For those that aren't interested in the full blown Kitchen Sink, I've stripped out the tuning calculator to simpler spreadsheet available here.  The only difference is there are Metric conversions for the first time and the gear spreader is something between the basic spreader in the kitchen sink car list and the more complex transmission tuning sheet.

Compared to Blooze's spreadsheet, mine is really just a stand alone calculator where I've tried to limit the data entry to those items that are relevant to the calculations.

The spreadsheets include instructions and you should look for comments embedded in cells for additional tips.  For a discussion of the topic see this thread over at daught net. Or this thread or this one for a history of the developement.

I've downloaded both the sink and the tuning calc they are really useful - thanks. I'm using bits of the sink but I don't track that much info and thought the calc looked more my thing. I've entered all the data in the white cells and I'm getting lots of errors coming up. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong and I understand where the majority of the numbers are coming from. Could somebody else confirm if the tuner is working for them or Tonka please could you confirm if it's all working as it should be.

Thanks

I'm leaving to travel home after Thanksgiving at Mom's in a few minutes, but could you email me a copy of your tuner spreadsheet and I'll take a look later this afternoon?
