[FM2] A850 MINI Cooper S (JEi Project Bulldog)
« on: October 14, 2007, 12:33:22 PM »
Time for a new JEi Project, since the WRC project seems to have finished itself.

Now, many people liken the stance of the MINI Cooper to a bulldog.  Hence the title.  This Project is an A-Class MINI Cooper S.  You'd think it'd have no chance that high.  Well that's what this project's for.  I believe it has potential.

And I want to put said potential to use.

The measuring stick?  3 of Blooze's QR Tracks:
  • Road Atlanta Short
  • Tsukuba Circuit
  • Sebring Short

I don't mean for this to come across as a challenge.  I'm just looking for some feedback/opinions on the car.

First round of times now filled out.

It looks like the Sebring time is hovering around 500th, the Tsukuba time in the (very) general neighborhood of 1500th, and the RA time around 600th

I would be ecstatic if this car were to QR below 180s.  I think it just might be doable, too.

Coments?  Opinions?  Signs of life?

LOL - still working the WW Civic, the A Class AWDs, the California Kid, and most likely the GS - SCCA Vette...

This may be a fun project but it is going to have to wait till later for me...

Cool looking car bimmer! If I wasn't in a "I hate FWD" mood right now, I'd have a go! ::)

That's why I put it in A.  There seems to belief that FWD isn't even competitive in A.  I think that the MINI's wide stance could really help it in the turns.

We'll see, won't we?

last night I was racing in A-Class and someone wouldn't stop complaining about their Fairlady Z. It was oe of the new ones and IIRC, AWD so it didn't exactly spark my interest. However, the third time he complained that his car sucked and 'won't turn!' I asked him what car he normally drove.

He replied, "Mugen Integra"

I started laughing. ::)

Stupid FWD! ;D
