Buck here; damn its like national damn security to get any computer time around here...
Anyhow... I thought I'd give ya a report on the new version of the D GSX. It is faster, but it is harder to drive. The thing that makes it harder to drive is the loss of some of the torque, most of that coming from the switch back to a stock transmission and stock gearing. The Sport Transmission and being able to swap out the FD is in this car's future, I suspect. So, the torque hit makes momentum, and therefore, the "line" and breaking points very important.
Good thing? Bad thing? Bad, it is taking me longer to get this thing done. Good, I'm getting better at driving - more finesse, more accurate. For instance, even with the loss in grip as well as torque, I was able to set a personal best on the Kaido Old Uphill D/R segment. The time is even at the top of the Chasers List, most likely momentarily. And in the Snakes I am out pacing the Blooze times that were set with the older version of the D GSX. Pretty cool
The D Class version most likely is not going to make as much money as the others, racing in those private races can be a bit tiresome when you don't need the money and I get better times when racing the ghost. But, even so the car is still up to half a million just clearing the D events in the career.
All in all, I still love this little car, I like looking at it and will often set the thing to "Showcase" when I am having a take five between stints. And even though not the optimum choice for a lot of these tracks, the car is still laying down some pretty good times, from a #760 on the Sunset Oval to a #161 on the Kaido D-R segment. That is all with the sa350 Build and a single setup.
We here at B2 racing are still pretty proud of our nomination for BCG.
