Nurburgring: 126.310; 118.652; 144.178; 142.109
Kaido: 130.564; 171.822; 120.437; 118.202
Positano: 100.484; 81.865; 102.202; 115.882
Notes:
The car is heavy at 3k+ lbs, even with full weight reduction, so I opted
for an AWD swap on this build.
This is the first car to use the semi-finalized version on my Version 7 calcs, as is, no tweaking.
The build and tune is exactly the same for every run.
The trans is a "sport" trans, and driven as an automatic.
All times are verifiable on the boards.
This is one of my favorite cars,.....period. In real life and in the game. The Targa Newfie race is my idea of the ultimate driver-and-machine kinda race. This is an AWESOME idea for a time trial tuner like myself. I loved running these tracks.
The car did well, but i'm still learning the nuances of this particular tune. This new calculator is quite a departure from my previous efforts, and it still requires me to drive with an open-mind instead of my worn-in standards. These times were relatively easy to lay down, with only one restart on Nurburg, where the car really shined. Kaido wasn't too bad, but the elevation angles and the new tuning idiosyncrasies kept my on my toes.
Positano ended up being the most fun, but since it was also last I tended to attack it a bit harder. The result was several restarts, but some of my funner driving moments were had here for sure.
I'll be looking to run a B-class RWD next.
Edit: If nothing else, the comparison of my times to the ones you guys have already layed down, definitely indicates to me that....
1. You guys are fast.
2. My build is more "missile" than "grip".
3. Nurburg favors a "missile" build.
4. My GTI needs more grip.
