I have not used it that much but I know 2007 Peugeot Sport 908 will upgrade to X999.

Stats:
  • 8.4 speed
  • 9.0 handling
  • 9.5 acceleration
  • 8.4 launch
  • 9.0 braking

Looking at the leaderboards I see a lot of that Peugeot!

Chuck,

Sorry to have been slow to communicate, but things have been a bit rough around here as of late.  I saw that you were clearing quite a few seconds off the P2P Big Board and figured you had moved up to X.

The two Peugeots will both upgrade to 999 and do pretty well on the speed tracks.

Have fun!!
;D $  (still grindin' (slowly) ) ;D

When I responded I had not seen Warpedo's posts.  So, Yeah, what he said. ;D

Blooze,

Sorry to hear things have been rough for you.  Hope it all gets better soonest.

I'll have to check out the Peugeot.  Although it didn't seem to like me when I ran it in R1.   :o

So, what is it?  August 1st?  Only 2.5 months to go and this chase will be in the books.

I've still got quite a bit of time to clear off of the R3 boards but it takes running a Super Car to do it.  Since I am sort of concentrating on the GT2 cars, I doubt I'll be making much headway for a while.

Congratulations!!

...and a tip of the cap to Chuckrateez for catching me up on the P2P Big Board.  That means he's completed all of the P2P races and now he's #70 in the world.  Very good work son!!!

A further check of the boards shows that Spiny is still coming in R3 and he'll have me there pretty soon as well.

And Warped's Overall time keeps getting smaller and smaller...

Good JOB everybody!!

Blooze,

Thanks for the props.  Persistence does pay off sometimes.   ;D

Now to finish the X circuits and drop down to re-check some of the others.  *grind*  *grind*

BTW, I'm still running that Acura with your tune on it.   It is such a smooth handler that I've become addicted to it.  So thanks for that.    ;D

Well, it's confirmed now that I've failed in the quest for another piece of blue text. It's been obvious for a while that R3 P2P was a failure, and now I've fallen short in the circuits in R3 by about 3 minutes. I think the main thing is a combination of not being able to match that Mosler (except for Sidewinder H Reverse) and too many cars with too much power and not enough grip early on - the '02 Camaro was one, and the one which followed it was so bad I've erased it from my memory (Sagaris).

So, onto R2. Initial impressions from the new MacLaren are good - it's really shone in drag anyway being consistently the best RWD on my friends list. And around the Benchmark Oval it's shone again - not Veyron or SSC pace, but it's on a pace with the Koenigseggs. Only problem is that after a brief hiatus I'll be moving onto something else soon.

Well heck!  :(  Sorry to hear that Spiny.  One certainly does have admire first, the way you have stuck with your program.  I'm quite certain I would have found a way to bail out by now, and if not by now, the Sagaris would have probably done the trick.  And second, the times that you are getting with all those not so optimum car choices.

Here's hoping that things go better in R2.  Hopefully the Pi limit of R2 will eliminate some of the more woeful selections.

I'm crossing my fingers for R2 as well, particularly as it looks like I won't have time to have a proper stab at R1 or X.

I have made a slight change for R2 in that I'm only looking at cars starting in A or above - the number of cars which wouldn't reach R2 otherwise would just make it silly. As it was, it took four attempts before the randomiser came up with a car which could reach R2 so I think this was a good move.

Certainly the MacLaren has given me the best start to a class in a while. I was particularly impressed with how it performed in the drag races given it's RWD, but it wasn't bad at Benchmark Speedway too where it had enough grip that I could go full throttle all the way around even with no spoilers fitted. I get the distinct impression that power alone is not enough to get a car into R2 - grip is also a requirement too and that should help me out come the more handling-biased tracks.

Once again a hail and hardy Congratulations to Chuckrateez!!  He has now caught and passed me on the Circuits Big Board as well as the P2P.  He is now currently ranked 145 in the World.  That's 145th out of 4,306,780.  Good Job!!

Good work there Chuck - that's not an easy thing to do.

Now all you have to do is catch up with Warped ;)

Thanks, Spiny and Blooze.  Persistence sometimes pays off.  But me catching Warped?!  Not likely.   ;D

I still left at least 8 seconds out there in X999 on The Ring, and my Kaido times could be a lot better, but at least I've made it through the whole thing now.  Maybe I'll go back down in some of the lower classes and see if I can pick up some low-hanging fruit.  (Does it never end?)

BTW, Spiny ... I've got the utmost respect for you and your approach (the randomizer).  I probably would have given up long ago if faced with some of the choices you had to run.   :o

I updated the Big Board on the List today.  Not much is going on... Spiny is still working away at the R2 boards, and I noticed that Warped has taken a major swipe at the P2P board.

I off trying to get all the career races done in my present profile hoping it will enhance my import to Forza IV.  I mostly been using interesting RWD cars... no danger to the leaderboards there.
