Had a good time in the scheduled events.  It seems my GTO is cursed as we didn't even get off the grid and calamity ensued.  Hope Red had a good time even though his cas selection is limited.  My Carrera RS is pretty fast on Suzuka East and watching the first turn dust piles was great.

Side Note: After we opened it up to anything I was able to FINALLY get my CTS-V around Laguna Seca in under 90 seconds.  Not great by any means but I've been hovering at a high 90 or a low 91 for weeks.

Diamondback was pretty fun except that Hoplee decided he needed something form the finishline and wasn't gonna wait for us to get there.

I'll check my schedule and see if I can host again, if anyone else wants a shot in the drivers seat by all means set up a race or three, "If you build it , they will come".
Go sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

*snort

I forgot about the start on Maple Valley. I lined up dead last in the Challenger behind the rest of the field. As soon as the race started, there was a three car pileup BEFORE WE EVEN MADE IT TO TURN ONE! I went from 5th to second before I even touched the wheel! LMAO

Sunset Infield in my Chevelle must be what it is like to be manic depressive.  As I would skid up onto the bank and manage to prevent the car from spinning, I'd floor the throttle and feel the absolute joy as all those little cars in the distance were sucked in towards me like a vacuum.

But as I near the start/finish line the track darkens and I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of dread as I realize I have to thread the needle at turn one at 160MPH in a car that handles more like a bobsled than a race car.  The next few corners come like punches, as all the cars I passed sneak by me one by one.

Finally, when I'm about to slit my wrists the road opens up again!  AND WHOOOOOOOOOOO away I go!

I guess that's better than MV Reverse.  I swear I could run a murderous rampage through Turn 10's offices until I found the guy who made that damn track. :)

Thanks for hosting the games last night, King!  Had a lot of fun with the variety of classes and tracks.  The racing was tight as always, and it was nice to see fresh meat...er, a fresh face in Red Rider.  :)

I should be around next week again if you're all going to race again.

Yeah that was some pretty awsome racing! I'm gonna have to build a better collection so I'm not stinking up in last place all night! It took a Pole Position and a giant pile up right behind me for my car to be competitive. Thanks to Hoplees ocasional wide drifts into the dirt, it allowed us to run side-by-side and swapping positions for some of Maple Valley reverse. (Without crashing!) Great racing Hop!
Thanks for hosting Fit4, and thanks to the rest of you guys for some fun, CLEAN racing. I hope this becomes a weekly thing so I can give you guys some REAL competition!

As always, it was indeed a great time.  It was also nice to see a new face in the crowd, thanks for comin' out to play Red.

MVR usually winds up being my favorite racing with you guys for some reason, but it seems like here lately, all I'm able to do at the start is look Fit right in the eyes as his GTO goes 180 and he tries to hit the first turn backwards.  What's up with that?

And Hop, you could've just honked at me instead of trying to make me look like a ballerina at 150 lmao.  "I just wanted to talk, haha!" :D  I heard you laughin' back there! :o

I swear though, once I step into those FCT cars, things go downhill.  I share Fits hatred for Maple Valley, but mine is focused towards the Short and Short reverse versions.  The long layout, I love, even if there's only one preferred line.  So it looks like when it comes down to the FCT cars, there's more to be desired from my tunes.  Hopefully next week I can show up with something that be a little more competitive.

I'm looking forward to next week.

Note to self: Build a car that can crush BMC's Chevelle on Sunset... ;D

Won't be hard!  The terminal problem I have with that car is that it requires a very careful and precise driving style.  It usually takes me 5+ laps to get into the groove with that car, by which time most online races are already over.

Once I got my head wrapped around it, the car I ran on Sunset was very quick at the Suzuka.  SUZUKA!!!  It's a better can than I am a driver, that's for damn sure!

In the end, I think any muscle car built for power has a good chance against the Chevelle.  It has good top speed with moderate power, but its handling is skittish enough that it loses a lot in the infield straight leading to the bank, and even more through the "twisty" stuff.
