FCT B Class Lotus Elan
« on: September 24, 2007, 09:26:49 PM »

Lotus Elan
FCT B-Class PI 700 v1.0

These cars are some of the ultimate light-weights out there. I've heard it said that the bodywork was so thin you could put a hole in it if you just looked at it long enough! The Elan is just big enough to get the job done, and probably the closest you can come in this game to a motorcycle.

You know, I really feel a little ...odd posting a build with so little done to it, but it really turned in some impressive times with room for improvement. The twitchy-ness is cured by the aero settings completely. It was faster than any of my other classic times on both tracks AND turned my first 39.xxx on Maple Short. I am astounded by this car's potential!

I'm pretty sure the settings other than the FD are default. Strangely, it had a 27 Accel/Decel on the Diff. Seems rare for the default to be that low!

Hey Hoppy, sorry I missed you last night, something weird happened and you disappeared.  What were you going to tell me about the Elan?

I was knocking off my best lap times in one that I hadn't done hardly anything to. All I did was max the rear df and min the front df and presto! new best lap times!

It was really freaking me out, since it wasn't taking any time to set the lap times either. My time for Maple Short in the FCT Challenge was set in the Elan on it's 3rd tuning lap. For comparison, the Jaguar's time took me 20 or 30 laps to nail down!

You just gotsta try one of these things. ;D
